October 24, 2025 – Last month, TCU/IAM members, families, and staff joined together in Central Park for the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure.” Despite the steady rain throughout the day, the energy and solidarity of our union family never wavered.
Led by FIERCE, TCU/IAM’s Women’s Committee, our team proudly walked in support of survivors, in memory of those we’ve lost, and to raise awareness for breast cancer research and early detection. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our members, we raised over $4,800 to support life-saving programs and services.
“The fight against breast cancer impacts far too many of our members, families, and communities,” said TCU/IAM National President Arthur Maratea. “I am proud of the work our union family is doing through FIERCE to raise awareness, show support, and contribute to finding a cure. Rain or shine, our solidarity makes a difference.”
As we mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, TCU/IAM reaffirms our commitment to standing together in the fight against breast cancer. This cause impacts so many of our sisters, brothers, and their families, and our collective action demonstrates the strength of our union both in and beyond the workplace.
Through compassion, unity, and solidarity, we are making a difference, one step at a time.
