January 6, 2025 – Today, the Transportation Communications Union (TCU/IAM) proudly endorsed Rep. Chris Deluzio’s (D-PA) bill, the “Thomas M. Conway Veterans Access to Resources in the Workplace Act,” which supports veterans in the workplace across the country. The bill would require employers with 50 or more employees to display a posting (similar to a wage and hours posting) in a prominent place that would include information on how veterans and their families can access the benefits they have earned, along with information for the veterans crisis hotline.
This legislation is based on laws enacted in 16 states, along with studies that show veterans who have access to the benefits they have earned have lower suicide rates and improved health outcomes.
TCU and the IAM have the privilege to represent many veterans who have served our country. We will continue to do everything we can to show our support to our veteran members and strive to make sure we are providing them with all of the support they might need.
