TCU Carmen Division Reaches Agreement for Soo Line Railroad Employees

Canadian Pacific and the TCU Brotherhood Railway Carmen Division (BRC) announced a tentative agreement has been reached covering the BRC represented employees on the Soo Line Railroad Company.  The tentative agreement provides annual wage increases and enhanced job security, as well as increased flexibility for the company to meet its car repair demands.  The new agreement will extend through 2020. Specific details are being withheld until the agreement can be presented to the membership in a ratification process.


Carmen Division General President Rich Johnson, who led the negotiations said, “This long term agreement provides real job and earning stability for our members and operational stability for the railroad during times of economic uncertainty.”


The Company’s Assistant Vice President of Labor Relations, Myron Becker, acknowledged the hard work and focus on the part of the parties’ negotiators in reaching what he regarded as, “a definite win-win; resulting in collaborative and meaningful long term solutions to issues of critical importance to the Union and the Company.
