TCU Endorses Sen. Barack Obama for President

July 21, 2008—TCU officially endorsed Barack Obama for President today.  In his announcement, International President Bob Scardelletti pledged that TCU “will mobilize to elect Obama and a working family-friendly Congress in November.”

“Our nation is in desperate need of a President who will reverse the disastrous course of these last eight years and lead us in a positive direction,” he says. “The person for the job is Barack Obama.  He is the leader who can bring this country together again.”

In particular, Scardelletti points to Sen. Obama’s “solid record as a champion of working families” as contrasted with that of Sen. John McCain who “has stood against TCU members’ interests time and time again.”
