September 11, 2001, forever changed our nation. Each year, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever impacted, and the bravery of first responders who answered the call in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
For TCU/IAM, this day carries an especially solemn meaning. Among those lost were six of our own members:
David Pratt
James W. Barbella
Edward Calderon
Rocco Medaglia
Eugene Raggio
Edward T. Strauss
Their loss is deeply felt not only within their families and communities, but across our entire union. They were more than workers, they were brothers, friends, and part of the TCU family.
As we mark this anniversary, we recommit ourselves to the promise that we will never forget. We honor their memory by standing united, supporting one another, and working toward a future rooted in solidarity, justice, and peace.
On this day of reflection, let us carry forward their legacy and ensure that resilience, unity, and compassion continue to guide us.
We will never forget.
