September 29, 2026, Rockville, MD – The Surface Transportation Board (STB) is seeking public comments on the proposed Union Pacific-Norfolk Southern merger. We believe our union members’ voices should be part of that record.
TCU/IAM is joining with our labor partners at BLET and BMWED in collecting comments from workers, communities, businesses, passengers, shippers, and other affected individuals. We strongly encourage all members to share and use the comment portal. The Organizations believe the proposed merger would weaken the railroad workforce, reduce competition, increase costs, and hurt America’s supply chain.
