Fort Wayne Lodge 6760 has regularly held educational seminars but the one held September 23, 2008 in Portsmouth, Ohio, was “unique” because it was “geared toward union benefits, contract rights” and a variety of other topics members need to know about. The idea for this wide-ranging seminar was Local Chairman Steve Wilhelm’s. “Portsmouth was selected as the host city due to the many new Carmen and Student Carmen who have been hired to work in the car shop,” reports Lodge 6760 webmaster Steve Pequignot.
