TCU & BRC LEADERSHIP ATTEND BRIGHTLINE WEST GROUNDBREAKING IN LAS VEGAS

TCU/IAM National President Artie Maratea and Carmen Division General President Don Grissom attended the historic groundbreaking of America’s first high-speed rail line in Las Vegas, NV, on Monday, April 22.  

NP Maratea and Carmen Division GP Grissom were joined by Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and other rail labor leaders.

Brightline West will connect Las Vegas to Southern California in just over 2 hours. This project expects to include over 900 Union jobs, and about 500 will be TCU Members.

“This is the beginning of something great. True high-speed rail that will be Union-built and Union-operated. President Biden’s Administration continues to invest in good union jobs.   Brightline West will create hundreds of good-paying union careers. TCU and BRC are excited about this partnership and a very bright future,” said National President Maratea.
