Thursday, May 2, 2024 – Workers at Transdev in Merced, CA, voted to join TCU. The vote was 100% in favor of joining TCU/IAM.
The crafts included in the vote are Bus Drivers, Mechanics, Dispatchers and Utility Workers. Transdev is an international company that operates multiple modes of public transit.
“I am very proud of the Organizing team at Transdev,” said TCU President Artie Maratea. “These members were looking at different unions and our quality Organizing Department really sealed the deal! I especially want to thank Assistant National Representative Rick Cota for his effort and determination to get this group to a vote. This is the second big win for TCU in the last month and a half. The TCU Organizing Department, led by Executive Director Sal Rodriguez, continues to grow and strengthen our Union. I am so proud of their work.”
